The most important thing about Reeder is reading. Yeah, I tried to use it for a little longer and I couldn't stand it.ġ) The grey on brown color scheme drives me nuts. The iPad remains my favourite rss reading device (thanks to reeder) but this is a fantastic app. I'm guessing he is waiting for the App store release in January to start selling it. Overall all though what a fantastic early release of an app. For the sanity of my machine I tossed Flash from Safari and open up Chrome when needed, I'd use Chrome as my render engine if possible. I wish I could choose the rendering engine. Netnewswire opening articles in the background in the browser is a nice touch, can't seem to make that work with Reeder. With current Reeder I need to press J to go to next feed, read some headlines, manually open in safari, hit A, hit return key to mark all as read, hit J. Right arrow drill in (feed > articles > load article in background in browser), left arrow drill back. I used the arrow key navigation quite a bit. I wish it would borrow a few things from netnewswire. The developer thought about the reading experience, then carefully choose the colours and layout. If this is in indication of whats coming with 10.7 count me happy. Well I'm about ready to toss netnewswire.
